Haylee Cole

Haylee Cole has proudly called Florence home her entire life. Now, she is running for Florence City Council to give back to the community that has given her so much.
A graduate of Siuslaw High School, Haylee grew up surrounded by small business and entrepreneurship. Her family owns and operates BJ’s Ice Cream, and, unsurprisingly, her very first job was scooping ice cream behind the counter. That experience instilled in her the value of hard work and customer service.
With a level of dedication beyond her years, Haylee has built an impressive record of leadership, volunteerism, and service throughout the Florence community.
In 2022, Haylee was honored to serve as Queen Rhododendra, and in 2024 she was crowned Miss Oregon Teen Volunteer, recognizing her extraordinary commitment to service and volunteerism.
Haylee has dedicated countless hours to organizations throughout Florence. She has served as a Florence Area Chamber of Commerce Ambassador, been on the board for The Last Resort Players, volunteered with local CROW performances, participated on the Rhododendron Court Executive Team and the Rhododendron Grand Floral Parade Committee, and helped organize Habitat for Humanity’s Habitat Hop. She also looks forward to volunteering with the DAR Veterans Parade and the Kiwanis Thanksgiving Dinner annually.
Haylee currently serves as a Board Member for the Boys & Girls Club of Western Lane County, a cheerleading coach, a Siuslaw WyldLife leader, and is an active member of Cross Road Assembly of God.
Building on the work ethic she learned growing up, Haylee became a licensed real estate broker with TR Hunter Real Estate, where she currently helps individuals and families achieve the dream of homeownership. This experience has given her firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing Florence's housing market.
"I am running for City Council because I love Florence and want to give back to the community that has shaped my life. I understand what makes our town so special and where we have opportunities to grow. I want to be a voice for the next generation while also representing the interests of our entire community. I bring a fresh perspective, a strong work ethic, and the energy to serve Florence. Through my involvement in our community, I have learned that listening, working together, and simply showing up can make a real difference. I'm not running because I have all the answers—I'm running because I deeply care about Florence and I'm ready to put in the work to help our community thrive for generations to come."
